Issue of the Month

Program Coordinators: Ashley Wilson and James Barnao

Once every month, a speaker comes to campus to discuss a pressing social justice issue that affects the DC area. Past speakers have spoken on hunger, homelessness, the housing shortage, etc. and how his or her organization helps to alleviate these issues. A free dinner is served at each event. Usually the speaker talks for 15-20 minutes and a discussion follows. This program enables the Georgetown Community to learn about issues affecting people steps outside of the front gates. It also gives students the opportunity to get involved with organizations that the speaker represents.

Sign Up to Attend the Dinner Discussion

Please note that sign-ups for the dinner discussions are limited and will be alloted on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you sign up you must attend or notify us that you cannot attend more than 24 hours in advance of the event. There will be a wait-list established for the event.

Have you attended an Issue of the Month Dinner Discussion before?

Would you like a reminder phone call from the program coordinator the night before the event?
